We've always liked what happens to drums when they are driven, pushed and smashed through different pieces of gear. Not completely distorted but just adding some character to our sounds to bring them to life. In this new installment, we ran our acoustic one-shots through three distinct pieces of gear to trash them up a bit. A lo-fi pedal that seemingly slices off the low and top end leaving you with a pronounced midrange sound. Next we used a secret saturation tool that thickens up drums nicely. Finally we ran the drums through our 4-track circuitry but not the cassette itself, adding a prominent grit to the sounds.
